Chrome gets extensions

Google knows that Firefox’s success is due to more than just innovations like tabbed browsing and being standards-compliant. Its real coup was being dynamic and creating a framework for extensions, i.e. crowdsourcing the development of new features.

Google’s Chrome browser now has such a framework, and this may catapult it to the top of the browser game.
